Spillett Security is always on the lookout for dedicated security guards to join our team.
Spillett Security hires full time Security Guards who provide Hotel Security services in Banff and Canmore. All full time starting positions are working 7-8 hour night shifts, with 5 days on and 2 days off.
Our Security Guard positions have proven to be an excellent stepping stone into law enforcement, while allowing for you to enjoy a Mountain Lifestyle. Working nights leaves days free to enjoy the outdoors and local arts and culture.
Partially subsidized shared staff housing is available in Banff for full time positions, and health and wellness spending accounts are available to staff after 1 year of employment.
Responsibilities include:
• Foot and mobile patrols of hotels, staff accommodations and apartment / condo buildings
• Dealing with various disturbances / issues
• Emergency response (fire and medical)
• Report Writing
On-the-job training will be provided.
Starting Wage: $18.62 to $21.06 per hour
Requirements:
• Valid security license from the Alberta Solicitor General (We can assist in obtaining)
• Valid class 5 drivers license with abstract
• Valid 1st Aid
• Ability to work with little supervision and under pressure
• Neat and clean appearance
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Hospitality/Customer service experience
• Graduate of Police Sciences or Criminology an asset
